The director of Resident Evil 4 wants a new rumored version to improve history
The director of RESIDENT EVIL 4 has revealed that if Capcom chooses to redo the incredibly popular delivery of the Survival and Terror series, this time it will do a better job with its narrative. For more than a year, rumors that suggest that Capcom is currently working on remake of Resident Evil 4 that should be on the same line as its previous Remakes of resident evil 2 and resident evil 3. And although the Japanese editor has yet to confirm that this is something that will happen, the original game creator has now given his blessing to the project with a small warning.
In a recent conversation with VG247, he asked the director of Resident Evil, Shinji Mikami, about the possibility that Capcom rehanging RESIDENT EVIL 4. In general, Mikami revealed that this is an idea that pleases him a lot because “most likely the fans want it, and that’s a good thing.” Despite positive comments about the new version in a general sense, Mikami pointed out that he would like to see some narrative alterations in a new version of re4. “It would be great if Capcom could do a great job and improve history, and get a good product,” he said.
While it may seem that Mikami is being hard with resident Evil 4 with this statement, he is actually being hard with himself more than anything. Mikami went on to clarify that when the original re4 was done, he “he only had three weeks to write it,” which meant that he could not devote all the time he would have loved the story. Clearly, that quick change when creating resident evil 4 is something that has bothered Mikami over the years, so he would like to see the story even better in a possible new version.
Even if Capcom you will find a way to do somehow RESIDENT EVIL 4 History much better in a new future version, it is tremendously impressive that Mikami has been able to write the story of one of the most iconic games of all time in such a condensed period. Assuming that the team that works in Re4_ Re4_ was given more time to refine the story, maybe they could reach something even better than what we have already seen.
